"Type" or "Kind"??

umm, its much of much

what kind of dog do you have?

what type of dog do you have?

 so basicly, both words mean the same,except

both have 2 meanings.

what kind of dog?

you are so kind.

what type of dog?

you type very well.

It's the same thing and you can use genre too
