Go Super to Listen Go Super!

The expression lay off has several meanings. You’re probably most familiar with the meaning that has to do with someone losing a job. To say that someone got laid off means that she or he lost a job because the company was trying to save money by reducing the number of its employees. Or, it might just be a nice way of saying someone got fired.

The other meaning of lay off also has to do with stopping something, but it’s not quite as permanent as losing a job. You lay off something when you stop doing it for a while. You might start again sometime, but right now you’re going to take a break, usually because the thing is bad for you in some way. You might lay off beer because you’ve been drinking too much, or lay off running because your knee is hurting you. You might start drinking or running again someday, but you’re going to stop for the moment.

Singer Scotty McCreery has big plans for the new year. He wants to get healthier. That means laying off fast food, which tends to have lots of calories and unhealthy ingredients. Maybe he’ll go back to McDonald’s someday, but, for now, he’ll try to eat elsewhere.

Have you ever tried to lay off something that was harming you? Did it work? Did you go back to the thing later?

i felt into a bad habit recently, that’s staying up late. And the reason is mid night seems to be a perfect moment to do anything. I mean you can find things which you do at night more extra ordinary and enjoyable than when you do it at day due to the fact that u would not be botherd by noise, besides the weather at night is pretty cool and comfortable so that you might feel free, calm and private to do things. For instance, i often drink a cup of milk with some ice while surfing the internet for my study or entertainment at 1 or 2 a.m. Though that’s really sipmle stuff, it helps me experience silent and a bit lonelineness. However, staying up late is totally not good for health. After those nights, i hardly wake up soon to prepare for class as well as open my eyes to cram my mind with knowledge from the teachers.

That’s why even i love it, im still trying to lay off this my favorite habit as soon as possible.

With determination human can lay off any bad habits he/she is doing, for me personally I quit some habits that I used to do, like sleeping late, sometime I had my lunch so late, and drinking a lot of tea with sugar. I have got one friend who quit smoking just because he saw his little daughter, when her Mom stopped her from breast feeding. She forgot about her mom’s milk within week, so he said how kid could change his habit so easily and I could not, then he quit smoking because that since 3 years ago….

I am so fortunate that I don’t have a bad habit to try to lay off that. everybody has seen many people who are suffering from some perilous diseases because of using some habits such as smocking or drinking which are so harmful for their health, but they don’t want to lay off them for a while. In addition, if they did it, it usually would be temperory. That is why it is the best to lay off inadequete and useless living to be definitely healthy in your life.
