Everyone has bad days. You forget your homework or leave your lunch at home. Someone says something rude or uncaring. The money you thought was in the bank has been spent. You wake up feeling sick on the day of an important job interview.

All of these things are no good. It sounds like bad grammar… and maybe it is… but instead of saying “not good,” it’s also OK to say no good. Your bicycle has a flat tire? That’s no good. You can’t find your favorite jeans? That’s no good. You fall and break your ankle? That’s definitely no good! To be no good is to be unfortunate, disappointing, sad, or just plain terrible.

It isn’t only situations that are described this way. No good is also used to talk about something that has stopped working. Your broken cell phone, your computer that won’t start, the refrigerator that won’t stay cold… all of these things are no good.

Singer Hayley Williams believes that a person telling another person that he or she is no good is no good for saying something like that. It’s a mean way to speak, and a person should be ashamed for talking to others that way.

Yeah. Lots of things are no good for me these days. My cellphone does not work very well and even if i will work i have to unlock it bcz of changing my country and I have to pay it or buy a new one. That’s too bad. I’ve got a serious problem about my dormitory and it seems that I should rent a house. Extremely no good. My Turkish is not good, not bad and I need to improve it day in and day out. I did not receive my scholarship yet. It’s tremendously no good. I’m looking for a job but here is a quite big city and finding job specially for a foreigner is difficult and it’s too no good. Apart from these I have no friend and it’s a big no good.

Thinking that something is no good is no good. Every trouble is hidden opportunities. Just turn thinking in good way. You have to work at weekend. It’s sad. But you will earn more money. Your car has broken on a road. This an opportunity to meet a handsome/kind man, who will stop to help. Or may be it’s time to get a new excellent car? No money to buy new car? This is a good reason to do career and to rise salary.

I don’t know what to say about a broken leg. This is really no good. But don’t lose hope and everything won’t be no good.
