Brian:  Are you eating a donut?

Jessica:  Why, yes I am.

Brian:  That looks so good!

Jessica:  I have had such a sweet tooth lately, I couldn’t resist.

Brian:  I can’t eat sugar right now, but I love donuts. I love them when they’re deep-fried.

Jessica:  They are delicious. And why can’t you eat donuts right now?

Brian:  I’m on a diet.

Jessica:  Wow, that sounds really, really difficult.

Brian:  It is. Especially when you have a variety of donuts in a pink box just waiting to be eaten.

Jessica:  I know! They’ve become so trendy, and such a fad lately around here.

Brian:  Well, I can see the appeal. It’s a tasty dessert that is crunchy and creamy at the same time. I want a donut so bad.

Jessica:  It’s true. This is delicious. I’d share it with you, but you’re doing a cleanse.

Brian:  I know. That looks really fancy, too. Is that an artisanal donut?

Jessica:  Why, yes it is, Brian.

Brian:  It looks like there’s some cereal on top of that.

Jessica:  I was just going to say that! Fruit Loops. They’re delicious!

Jessica is eating a donut with cereal on top of it. She says that she can’t help herself from eating unhealthily, because she has a sweet tooth. Jessica loves donuts, but thinks it’s funny how they have become so trendy. She just likes to eat them!

Brian is sad because he wants to try some of Jessica’s donut, but he is on a diet. He notices that Jessica’s donut is artisanal, and he starts to get hungrier and hungrier. Brian is probably pretty upset that he is on a diet right now!

Do you like donuts? What is your favorite dessert?

Donuts revive sweet memories of my high school days. In recesses, I and my peers hung out in front of the school buffet to make a little celebration out of our short free time between classes, we treated ourselves to donuts and bottles of coca-cola and it was so refreshing (especially in hot days). After having our recess treats, we felt full of beans to go back to the classrooms and face our moody teachers.

But I haven’t had donuts for donkey’s years because they contain a lot of sugar. Donuts are types of junk food and these kinds of food have no place in my diet anymore.
