Some people are naturally very likable. They have a lot of charisma, and everyone wants to meet them because of their wonderful personalities. Celebrities often have this type of charisma. For example, many people like to read and hear about George Clooney. He’s popular because he’s a nice guy, and he has a warm personality. Also, he’s extremely handsome.

George Clooney could charm the pants off of anyone. With only a smile and a kind word, he can get almost anything he wants. Not everyone can charm the pants off of others. This type of charisma requires a personality that makes other people feel comfortable and curious. It is both natural and learned. A person usually knows when they are charming the pants off of others.

Brian recently met with Romeo Trivino. Marni and Sara are very excited to hear that Romeo will return for an interview. Find out about their secret plan in today’s English lesson about getting a celebrity autograph.

Brian:  You’ll never guess who came into the office yesterday.

Sara_R:  Who?

Brian:  Romeo Trivino.

Marni:  What?

Brian:  Shhh! I’m serious. And he’s coming back for an interview.

Sara_R:  What was he like?

Brian:  He was awesome! That guy could charm the pants off anyone. I’m going to go get a coffee.

Marni:  Romeo Trivino? He’s my favorite actor.

Sara_R:  Me, too! How can we get an autograph?

Marni:  Well, I’m sure we could just buy a signed photo online.

Sara_R:  Marni, we can get one in person. When Brian interviews him, we can just “be in the neighborhood.”

Marni:  Just walk right in?

Sara_R:  Or wait until he leaves, and then follow him.

Marni:  OK, that sounds a little like stalking.

Sara_R:  The important thing to remember is a pen. And some paper. And not to act weird just because he’s famous.

Marni:  Well, I’m sure you could charm the pants off of him.

Sara_R:  Do you really think so? I’m already nervous thinking about it.

Brian:  What are you guys talking about?

Sara_R:  Nothing!

Brian tells Marni and Sara that he met Romeo Trivino, and he’s going to have an interview with the superstar. Marni and Sara are very excited because Romeo Trivino is their favorite actor. When Brian leaves, they create a plan to ask Romeo for his autograph.

Marni says that they could buy a picture with Romeo’s autograph on the Internet, but Sara says that they can visit Brian during the interview. They could just follow Romeo when he leaves. Marni thinks that this sounds like stalking, but Sara has a plan. When Brian returns, both Marni and Sara quickly stop talking about their secret ideas.

Will Marni and Sara get Romeo’s autograph? Whose autograph do you want to have?
